"TheraSupport is the fourth organization I’ve tried doing adaptive yoga with since my car accident 12 years ago that left me in a wheelchair. Most adaptive yoga is tailored just for me, but Therasupport is the first 26 posture and Yoga breathing exercise class I’ve ever tried. Most yoga I’ve done goes through a couple random poses, but with the yoga at TheraSupport you do the same set of poses every week and try to improve on them. I feel improving, which is something I’ve been focusing on ever since my car accident, is really in line with my recovery.
I recommend yoga at Therasupport for anyone recovering from anything."

"I've recently had the opportunity to be a part of 2 grief yoga practices led by Laverne Santangelo at TheraSupport Behavioral Health & Wellness. The practice is open to anyone experiencing any type of grief in their life and seeking a therapeutic outlet to channel many powerful emotions and feelings. I was very drawn in by this combination of yoga movement with therapy as the physical expression can often offer deeper emotions that may be difficult to verbally communicate.
Laverne creates a safe, warm, and welcoming space as she guided us through a practice filled with beautiful music and very free flowing movements. The expectation coming in may be that a yoga session focusing on grief will be sad and mournful. While all kinds of emotions are uncovered, Laverne also invites us to express happiness, strength, and joy through the practice. I loved coming out of the session feeling so many ranges of emotions and finding a sense of lightness, clarity, and community with all the participants. I would highly recommend the practice for anyone seeking a mindful mental, physical and emotional approach for addressing challenging circumstances in life."
