Occupational Therapy Services
Occupational therapy involves the use of assessment and treatment to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of people with a physical, mental, or cognitive disorder. Occupational therapy enables people of all ages to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, and prevent—or live better with—injury, illness, or disability. Occupational therapy practitioners ask, "What matters to you?" not, "What's the matter with you?"
In its simplest terms, occupational therapy helps people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. At TheraSupport, occupational therapy is an essential tool to help clients live life as independently as possible by addressing areas such as meal planning and preparation, bathing and dressing, shopping, household management, money management, community integration, and organization. Services are available to both supported living and outpatient clients.
